German national team coach Joachim Low was angered by the rough tackle from Serbian Milan Pavkov against his pupil Leroy Sane.
In yesterday's friendly match, which ended in a 1:1 draw, the attacker almost seriously injured his opponent and received a red card.
"It was a brutal tackle. Sane was lucky not to get injured, but actions like these can break bones," said J. Low.
Sane reassured fans: "Everything is fine, my Achilles tendon is not injured, and I myself rate my performance in this match quite well."
J. Low also confirmed that goalkeeper Manuel Neuer will most likely start in the starting lineup in the first European Championship qualifying match against the Netherlands, which will be played on Sunday.
"You can figure that out," the coach told journalists.
