London's "Chelsea" club strategist Jose Mourinho believes that the best player in the English Premier League should not have been Luis Suarez.
The Portuguese is convinced that this season the best player in the country's championships should have been "Manchester City" forward Edin Dzeko.
"L. Suarez is a good player. You don't vote for a bad footballer. The best player is chosen based on achievements in one season."
"He criticized B. Ivanovic for last season, not this one. You can't punish a player for life for one mistake."
"However, I believe that in any circumstances, the best player should be chosen from the champions team," said J. Mourinho.
"If Man City become champions, and they are missing only one point, I believe that the best player should be recognized from this team. And if I had to choose, I would say that it is Edin Dzeko."
"He not only scores goals, but also plays excellently, makes assists, stays on the field, doesn't simulate, doesn't try to provoke opponents."
"Throughout the season, he was only the third choice of the coach, but when the team needed him the most, he did a lot," Mourinho praised the Bosnian.
"Currently, he has 16 goals. Such a number for a third forward is unbelievable."
E. Dzeko scored 26 goals in 47 matches in all tournaments this season.
