"Man Utd" coach Jose Mourinho reacted to the news that shook the football world about "Arsenal" coach Arsene Wenger's plans to leave London after the season.
The Portuguese, forgetting old feuds, expressed respect for his eternal rival.
"If he is happy, so am I. If Arsene is sad, so am I. I have always wished the best to my opponents.
Therefore, if the Frenchman is eager to turn a new page in his life, I am happy," Mourinho said.
"I think as a team we have expressed respect to Wenger, which he deserves as a long-time rival of 'Man Utd' and A. Ferguson.
We respect each other, even though sometimes it may seem otherwise. Coaches, like players, can be aggressive, disrespectful, but still respect each other.
I am happy about his decision and hope A. Wenger will not retire," Mourinho said.
