Seville and Spain's national team right-back Joaquin stated in an interview that his ideal is Madrid star Luis Figo.
"He is my ideal player," Joaquin said. "I try to learn from him, as he is a true professional both on and off the field."
Rumors have recently spread that Real Madrid will try to acquire Betis star to replace the 31-year-old Portuguese Figo, whose contract with the royal club expires in June next year, and the player himself confirmed in an interview that the club is not planning to extend the contract with him.
Joaquin himself denied these rumors and stated that they are just rumors.
"If Figo leaves Madrid, it is not because of me," said the young Spanish star. "Let's hope that after leaving Real, he continues his career elsewhere, as he is still a wonderful player."
