J.R.Riquelme will not play in the MLS league - the Argentinean ends his professional career.

Former "Barcelona", "Villarreal", "Boca Juniors" player Juan Roman Riquelme announced his retirement. Considered one of the best footballers of his generation, the Argentine played his last match wearing the jersey of the "Argentinos Juniors" club. "I have decided not to play professionally anymore," said the 36-year-old midfielder, who denied rumors of plans to join an MLS club. "Now I will only be a fan. I am very satisfied with my career - I enjoyed football to the fullest and I hope fans liked my game. I tried to give my all on the field representing various clubs." Riquelme has won five champion titles and three "Copa Libertadores" trophies with "Boca Juniors", as well as being a two-time winner of the "Intertoto Cup". He was also named Argentine Footballer of the Year four times.
