J.Terry became a candidate to take over the helm of "Aston Villa"

Recently, legendary English footballer John Terry announced his retirement, but it seems that the former defender is not far from football.

The "Daily Star" reports that the 37-year-old Englishman has become a real contender to take over the vacant coaching position at Birmingham's "Aston Villa."

The former "Arsenal" striker Thierry Henry is named as the most likely candidate, but he may be tempted by an offer from the "Monaco" team.

It was at "Aston Villa" that J.Terry played his last professional season in 2017/2018.

Having spent almost his entire career at "Chelsea," the defender can boast of having won many titles, including medals for winning the Champions League and Europa League.

Currently, the Birmingham team is in 15th place in the "Championship" competition.
