For some time, it was unquestionable that the "Blues" captain John Terry would extend his current contract for another year. Today this news was officially confirmed, and the 34-year-old defender will finally leave London in the summer of 2016.
"I'm delighted that I managed to extend my contract with Chelsea," said the Englishman. "Playing in this great club makes me proud."
"I would especially like to thank the team's fans, who have been with me all this time," concluded the experienced footballer.
