"Juventus" and "Monaco" confidently advanced to the Champions League semi-finals (VIDEO)

On Wednesday evening, the last two second-leg quarter-final matches of the UEFA Champions League were played. After this evening, all four teams were revealed to continue the title fight in the tournament semi-finals.

The biggest attention was focused on the duel at the "Camp Nou" stadium, where "Barcelona" tried to retaliate against Turin's "Juventus" after a loss. The Italian club, demonstrating an iron defense, stood out with a goalless draw against the Catalans and advanced to the next stage.

The first-leg match in Turin ended with the hosts' victory by a score of 3-0, so "Barca" had to step onto the field with the goal of scoring at least three times against the "old lady" and not conceding a single goal.

The first half began with active play from both teams. Barcelona had more possession of the ball, but failed to create anything dangerous. Neymar was particularly aggressive on the left flank, but he was stopped by Juventus defenders and the referee did not allow himself to be provoked.

The first serious chance came in the 19th minute, when Lionel Messi received the ball in the penalty area and shot just wide. There were no significant episodes at either end of the field for the rest of the first half.

The second half was a bit different - Juventus no longer created attacks, focusing entirely on defense. Massimiliano Allegri's game plan worked perfectly - Turin footballers did not give the opponents any opportunities to score and ended the match without conceding a goal.

The goalless draw meant that Juventus advanced to the semi-finals, having not conceded a single goal against one of the most prolific teams in the tournament in both legs.

In the other match, "Monaco" and Borussia Dortmund players clashed swords again. The "Yellow-Blacks" came to France with a goal deficit, but they also failed to secure victory in the opponent's field - the French celebrated a 3-1 victory.

In just the 3rd minute, Kylian Mbappe took advantage of a mistake by the goalkeeper to put the hosts ahead, and in the 17th minute Radamel Falcao extended the lead with a great header.

Early in the second half, Marco Reus brought intrigue back, but "Monaco" did not concede any more goals and in the 81st minute managed to score another goal, with Valere Germain finding the net shortly after entering the field.

All four teams are now clear in the Champions League semi-finals - "Monaco", "Juventus", Real Madrid, and Atletico Madrid. The draw for this stage will take place on Friday at 13:00 Lithuanian time.
