The first half of the season
The season started hard for "Juve," but it was to be expected when almost half of the team changed during the summer. There were many doubts about the decisions of our buying-selling guru Beppe Moratto, but the coach managed to assemble the team's game, and after a rough start, the team started playing more steadily and collecting points.
Miloš Krasič, Alberto Aquilani, Marco Storari, and Fabio Quagliarella integrated perfectly into the team. Leonardo Bonucci already forms one of the best defender pairs with Chiellini. From other newcomers more was expected, but they still have time to prove their worth.
Assessing the results on the international stage, they are somewhat unexpected. We dropped out of the group stage of the Europa League tournament, but neither the fans nor, it seems, the club executives were too disappointed. Del Neri always emphasized that the team aims high in Europe, but seeing the coach's "tactical maneuvers," it was evident that the UEFA tournament played only a secondary role.
Team strengthening
Undoubtedly, the left side of defense needs strengthening. Grosso is no longer what he was a few years ago, and De Ceglie still doesn't seem to reach the level of the main team. The child even suffered a trauma... In the last minutes (almost desperately?), Traore, who was rented out, does more harm than good.
Another gap is in the left-back position. Krasič looks solid on the right, but on the left, it's practically empty, making it easier for teams to defend when attacked only from the right flank.
With Quagliarella injured, the so-called "SS" position must be strengthened, as we now rely only on Del Piero. Amauri and Iaquinta are also plagued by frequent injuries, so corrections are needed here as well.
Turin's "Juventus" - "Bari"
Today officially starts the second round of the Serie A championship. We all undoubtedly crave revenge. The beginning of this year for the "Old Lady" was just tragic - we were crushed twice, lost our best performing striker. Everyone's mood was also disturbed by Felipe Melo's gross mistake, after which the Brazilian received a 3-match suspension. Aquilani's form also dropped. Krasič, who at the beginning of the season claimed to only use 70% of his abilities, still can't reach that 100%... As if all that wasn't enough, in the Italian Cup matches, we also lost Luca Toni. Today the team will also be without Vincenzo Iaquinta.
The situation looks enviable, but this season we have already realized that the "Juventus" players lack fighting spirit, so I predict that in front of our own fans we will defeat the "Bari" team, which has nothing more to offer than a fall from Serie A.
