„Marseille“ safety Mario Lemina arrived in Turin this morning to undergo a medical examination and sign a contract with „Juventus“, the club confirmed this morning.
The 21-year-old defender will move to „Juventus“ on a loan basis, but it is believed that the contract will include a condition that the Italian champions must buy M. Lemina fully for approximately 12 million euros next year.
„Juventus“ is still looking for replacements for Arturo Vidal and Andrea Pirlo. After negotiations for Juliano Draxler failed, the club decided to acquire M. Lemina.
The player started his career at the famous „Lorient“ academy, joining when he was 12 years old. In 2012, he moved to the main team, and a year later he was acquired by „Marseille“.
However, the Gabonese player was unable to secure a regular starting position in his new club - M. Lemina balanced between the starting lineup and the bench.
Last season in the „Ligue 1“ championship, he was mainly a substitute for Gianelli Imbula and Alaixys Romao - M. Lemina played 23 matches, starting 10 of them from the bench.
