"Juventus" continues to receive bad news - not only did Giorgio Chiellini get injured before the national team break, another defender who joined the Brazilian national team - Alex Sandro - has already returned from the camp after not being there for a few days.
A. Sandro was not supposed to go to the Brazilian national team camp, but after Filipe Luis got injured, the spot was taken by the "Juventus" full-back. However, his first training session did not go well - A. Sandro suffered a shoulder injury, which was confirmed today by "Juventus" representatives after examinations.
In the official statement, it is not mentioned how serious the injury is, but there is a possibility that the defender will miss both upcoming matches: in Italy against "Milan", and in the UEFA Champions League - the first leg of the quarterfinals against "Real" Madrid.
"After returning from the national team camp, Alex Sandro underwent medical examinations which confirmed the shoulder injury. He has problems with the muscles of his right shoulder, so he will start physiotherapy from today," - announced on the "Juventus" website.
"Juventus" will face "Real" without the suspended Miralem Pjanic and Medhi Benatia, so there is no doubt that every effort will be made to ensure G. Chiellini and A. Sandro are back in time for the match.
