The 24th round of the Serie A started with a match between the defending champion Turin Juventus and Atalanta Bergamo, who were balancing on the edge of relegation.
In the league, the current leaders bianconeri, despite playing at home, faced opposition from the beginning. In the 25th minute, after a corner kick from Urby Emanuelson, Giulio Migliaccio scored with a header.
The missed goal forced the hosts to react - after 14 minutes, Fernando Llorente equalized from a penalty kick.
Just a few minutes later, probably one of the most beautiful goals of the year was scored. Juventus veteran Andrea Pirlo launched a real bomb from outside the penalty area into the top corner of the Atalanta goal.
This strike, as it turned out later, was decisive, as in the second half both teams failed to score more goals. It is worth mentioning that the match was very intense - eight yellow cards were shown.
