"Juventus" veteran Gianluigi Buffon admitted that in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals they lacked experience and the Munich "Bayern" club was too strong for them.
Yesterday, the last quarterfinal match was played. Securing a spot in the semifinals, the Bavarians won against "Juventus" with a score of 2-0.
"I hoped that in Turin we would redeem ourselves and at least manage to force extra time, but the "Bayern" team proved their superiority," said the experienced goalkeeper.
"We wanted to show how we really play, but things didn't go well for the team from the very beginning, we did our best. Unfortunately, our efforts were not enough, we had to deal with a stronger team," added the Italian.
Nevertheless, the season is not over for the "Bianconeri" team. Leading in the "Serie A" tournament, the Turin team will meet with AS Roma on Monday.
