"Juventus" seriously considers the possibility of extending the contract with 32-year-old Mario Mandžukić for additional years.
While in the beginning of this season record signing Cristiano Ronaldo couldn't score his first goal, the team was led to victories by world vice-champion M. Mandžukić, who has scored four goals and made two assists in seven "Serie A" matches.
During his career at Juventus, Mandžukić has become a true team player, taking on a lot of responsibility and working hard in defense. However, recently Massimiliano Allegri has returned him to the central forward position, where he has shown great success.
Currently, Mandžukić's contract is valid until 2020, but Juventus wants to extend it for another year - until 2021.
At the moment, the Croatian earns 5 million euros per season. By signing a new contract, his salary for work on the field would slightly increase.
The forward joined Juventus in 2015 and has already played 138 matches wearing the team's jersey.
