The Serie A champions, Turin's Juventus, fought against Verona at home on Thursday evening. Massimiliano Allegri's team crushed their opponents with a score of 6-1 and advanced to the quarter-finals.
The goals for the winners were scored by Paul Pogba, Alvaro Morata (11m penalty), Roberto Pereyra, Kingsley Coman, and Sebastian Giovinco who scored twice, defeating Verona's goal.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Parma defeated Cagliari 2-1 and will face Juventus in the quarter-finals. Roma's Lazio club also earned a ticket to the next stage.
