In the Spanish "La Liga" championship, three matches of the 31st round were played on Saturday. Madrid's "Real" club, coming off a loss in the middle of the week, hosted "Eibar" at home. Looking weak in the first half, "Real" bounced back in the second half and celebrated a victory with a score of 2:1. "Eibar" started the match excellently and did not allow the hosts to get into the game. The first goal was scored in the 39th minute, which did not please the "Santiago Bernabeu" crowd - "Eibar" took the lead. In the second half, "Real" started playing much more aggressively in the opponents' half and in the 59th minute Karim Benzema equalized with a header. In the 81st minute, the same Frenchman once again accurately headed the ball into the net and put the hosts ahead. K. Benzema could have scored at least two more goals during the remaining time, but he failed to leave the field with a "hat-trick". "Real" remains in third place with 60 points. "Eibar" is in eleventh place. In the previous round, "Valencia" ended their 17-game unbeaten streak by defeating Madrid's "Real" club. Madrid's "Rayo Vallecano" took advantage of their neighbor's misfortune and celebrated a 2-0 victory. Dani Parejo had a chance to put "Valencia" ahead, but after he missed his penalty, "Rayo" players Raul de Tomas and Mario Suarez scored goals. In another match, Barcelona's "Espanyol" defeated "Girona" after a dramatic battle.
