Madrid's "Rayo Vallecano" took advantage of their neighbor's misfortune and celebrated a 2-0 victory. Dani Parejo had a chance to put "Valencia" ahead, but after he missed his penalty, "Rayo" players Raul de Tomas and Mario Suarez scored goals. In another match, Barcelona's "Espanyol" defeated "Girona" after a dramatic battle.
