Madrid's "Real" sniper Karim Benzema remains confident in himself and believes that one day he can win the award for the best footballer on the planet.
The last two trophies went to his French teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, while before him, the "Ballon d'Or" was lifted four times by Barcelona star Lionel Messi.
Although Benzema agrees that he will never score as many goals as the mentioned duo, the striker believes that winning trophies regularly with the club can help him compete for the awards.
"If I continue to win trophies constantly, in the future I may win this award," Benzema told Le Parisien.
"We have Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi, the two best players. Of course, I will never score 80 or 100 goals in a season. Only they can do that."
"Apart from them, there are plenty of players deserving of the award. Maybe I can be included in the top five, I don't know."
