On Sunday evening, Madrid's "Real" team played at home in the local championship, drawing 1:1 with the "Osasuna" team.
In the first half, the "royal" club created several very dangerous moments. They managed to take advantage of one of them in the 42nd minute. Vinicius Junior defeated the opponent's goalkeeper Sergio Herrera with a great long-range shot.
At the beginning of the second half, Carlo Ancelotti's players had to taste the "bitter pill". The "Osasuna" team's forward sent the ball into the goal with a header and the score became 1:1.
In the 78th minute of the match, after a VAR review, the referee awarded a penalty kick to the "Osasuna" team, and on top of that, showed a controversial red card to the visitors' defender Unai Garcia. However, Karim Benzema failed to convert the set piece, with his shot hitting the crossbar.
In the remaining ten minutes, the "Osasuna" players managed to resist until the end of the match and secured an important point.
After this match, "Real" holds the second position in the league table, tied on points with "Barcelona" who are placed one step higher. Meanwhile, "Osasuna" is demonstrating great form and currently ranks sixth.
