Saturday saw two matches in the Spanish La Liga championship.
In the first match, Celta hosted Atletico Madrid at home. Diego Simeone's pupils suffered a painful blow - Celta celebrated victory with a score of 2:0, as they started the second half as if on wings.
After the first half, the score was level - neither team scored a goal, but from the beginning of the match, the hosts showed character.
The start of the second half was perfect for Celta - Diego Godin slipped at the penalty area after receiving a pass from Filipe Luis. Quickly seizing the ball from the opponents, Maximiliano Gomez defeated Jan Oblak with a powerful shot.
Atletico's disaster continued at the start of the second half - the same M. Gomez made an excellent pass to Iago Aspas in the 52nd minute, who then increased the advantage to two goals with a precise shot.
Things only got worse for Atletico as the match progressed - in the 70th minute, Stefan Savic was sent off the field with a second yellow card, leaving the visitors to play with ten men.
Before scoring the defender, Celta had scored a third goal, but after a few minutes, VAR system detected an offside.
No miracles happened for the rest of the game, and Celta secured their second victory of the season. At the same time, Atletico's team loses points for the second time, but this time without gaining any.
In the other evening match, Real Madrid once again achieved a convincing victory. Julen Lopetegui's team showed dominance at home with a 4-1 win over Leganes.
Gareth Bale put the visitors ahead, but in the middle of the first half, Leganes equalized with an 11-meter penalty kick.
In the second half, Real Madrid was not in the mood to joke and scored three more goals. Karim Benzema scored a brace, while Sergio Ramos added another goal from the penalty spot.
Interestingly, with the same result, Girona also won, with all three goals scored by different players, including Benzema's brace.
Real Madrid has not lost a single point so far and is at the top of the standings. Lopetegui's team also has no equals in attack - they have scored 10 goals in three matches.
