After starting to demonstrate an impressive form from the middle of last season, Karim Benzema continues to improve his statistics.
On Sunday, the 31-year-old forward's goal helped Real Madrid defeat Sevilla on the road. For the Frenchman, who is at the top of the list of top scorers in La Liga, this was his fifth goal this season.
Sevilla fell after K. Benzema directed the ball into the net with a header after a pass from Dani Carvajal.
OptaJose counts that the Frenchman has already scored with his head for the ninth time this year. This is the best achievement in all five of the strongest European championships.
K. Benzema has scored 20 goals in the last 17 league matches. The same number Lionel Messi has scored in La Liga in 2019.
