K. Benzema will not represent the French national team in the 2016 European Championship.

Since 2007, Karim Benzema, a striker for Madrid's "Real" team playing in the national team, will not represent the French national team in the 2016 European Championship.

The 28-year-old footballer announced on his official Twitter account that he will not be included in the French national team for the EURO 2016 tournament.

Today K. Benzema visited France and met with the president of the country's football federation, Noël Le Graet. As it turned out, the conversation was not successful, and Didier Deschamps will be forced to go to the European Championship without his main striker.

It is worth noting that K. Benzema drew the anger of the French Football Federation after getting involved in a scandal with Mathieu Valbuena. The "Real" sniper was accused of blackmailing the mentioned footballer, as he tried to extort money from M. Valbuena in a video with his friends.

So far, K. Benzema has played 81 matches for the French national team and scored 27 goals.
