Kevin De Bruyne revealed that, even though talks are ongoing at the moment, he is not in a rush to extend his contract with Manchester City.
Last month it was announced that the outstanding midfielder should receive a higher salary and a 10 million euro bonus for his excellent performance.
However, the deal between the Citizens and the 26-year-old footballer is not yet completed.
"We are still negotiating," De Bruyne said.
"I am waiting for the club's offer, but my agent has been on vacation for three weeks. Essentially, there is nothing new at the moment."
Asked if he expects the agreement to be reached soon, the Belgian national team member added: "Probably. I am not in a hurry. My current contract is still valid for another three and a half years."
It has also been mentioned before that under the new contract, De Bruyne will earn 200 thousand pounds sterling per week, without including image rights and various bonuses.
