"Manchester City" star Kevin De Bruyne claims that his role in the team has changed since the arrival of new coach Pep Guardiola.
The "Citizens" have started the season excellently and won victories in all three "Premier League" matches so far.
However, on Saturday they face a challenge against "Manchester United", who have also collected nine points. De Bruyne talked about his changes in an interview just before this match.
"My position is completely different from last year," De Bruyne told Sky Sports. "It's not too defensive. I know I will be more of a creator and will have to help my team mates get the ball in the final third. Others will finish the attacks this season, but for now I am really enjoying this role."
"Everything takes time, the same situation is with Belgium. Until Pep tactically gets what he wants, it takes time, but everything is great. You can see spaces opening up on the field, then it becomes clear why we do things this way."
"We want to dominate in matches, but maintaining such a pace throughout the entire 90 minutes in England is impossible. We are trying. Our style of play is positive. People see a lot of changes and at the moment we are doing really well."
"Pep cares about everything, every detail, so players always have to give their all. If the coach asks for something on or off the field, you just need to adjust to his wishes."
Last season, in 25 "Premier League" matches, De Bruyne scored seven goals and provided nine assists. This season he started with two assists.
