K. Honda: I will not leave "Milan" of my own will

Keisuke Honda is determined to continue fighting for a place in the starting lineup of the "Milan" team and according to him, he would only leave the team if the club refused his services themselves.

Although the 29-year-old player has recently lost his place in Sinisa Mihajlovic's starting lineup and recently expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of playing time, the Japanese player does not intend to give up and insists on continuing to fight for the chance to get into the starting eleven.

"I emphasize one thing - I will not leave the "Milan" club willingly. I came to the team with unwavering determination and if the team does not directly tell me that they no longer need me, I will not go anywhere. I promise not to run away.

Without a doubt, I have to take responsibility for my poor performances, but I have self-confidence and will fight to regain the trust in me. I know it will not be easy, but I will not give up the fight for a place in the team lineup.

"Everything is harder in the "Milan" team than I imagined, but I certainly do not promise to give up," Honda talked about his future with Nikkan Sports.

In the last seven matches in the "Serie A" championship, Honda has not been included in the team's main lineup once. His contract with the "Milan" club is valid until July 2017.
