As the upcoming World Cup approaches, Japanese national team star Keisuke Honda remains optimistic.
Alberto Zaccheroni's coached team will compete in Group C alongside teams from Colombia, Greece, and Ivory Coast, and only one famous football expert, Michael Owen, predicts that the Asian team will make it to the next stage.
"I stick to my goal of winning the World Cup and I don't care what other people think about it," Honda said.
"I never give up and I remain faithful to my principles."
Now the Japanese are preparing for a friendly match against Zambia.
"Of course, these matches will be different from the first ones at the World Cup, but we want to feel confident in our abilities," said the attacking midfielder.
