One of the most famous football players to ever play in Lithuania, Keisuke Honda, finally made his debut in the A League with Marijampolė's "Sūduva" team. In the home match, "Sūduva" defeated Gargždai's "Bangos" team 4-0. The first goal of the match was scored by Olivier Rommens in the first half. In the second half, K. Honda marked his debut with a goal, beating the "Bangos" goalkeeper in the penalty area. In the 75th minute, the Japanese player was substituted after a very good debut in the "Sūduva" team. Later, Marijampolė's "Sūduva" team scored two more goals - Nicholas Taravelis and Alexandros Gargalatzidis. After this victory, the Marijampolė club increased their lead over "Žalgiris" to 8 points. However, the Vilnius team still has two games in hand. In other matches today, in Kaunas district, "Hegelmann-Lithuania" played 1-1 at home against Telšiai's "Džiugas" team.
