Yesterday in the match of the day, PSG defeated Brugge's "Club" team 4-1 at home and closed their Champions League group stage with a resounding note. Without Neymar, who was injured, Parisians were led by Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi, both of whom scored a brace and led the team to victory. Yesterday also saw the fall of one of L. Messi's records, which was surpassed by K. Mbappe himself. The Frenchman became the youngest player in Champions League history to reach the 30-goal mark. Mbappe reached the 30-goal mark at the age of 22 years and 352 days, while Messi reached this milestone at the age of 23 years and 131 days, more than a decade later. In their group, PSG finished second, while they are currently comfortably leading in the "Ligue 1" championship.
