Kylian Mbappe is delighted to have become the youngest goal scorer in the history of the French national team in important tournaments, but he wants to do even more for the team.
The 19-year-old talent's strike against Peru was the only goal and it was precisely what allowed the French to secure a place in the quarterfinals.
He was undoubtedly also voted the best player of the match.
"I was very happy (to score - ed. note)", Mbappe said.
"I always said that the World Cup is a dream for any player."
"It was also my dream, so I hope for more of that in the future."
The sniper also talked about how in the second half he had to help his team defensively.
"If your teammates need you, you have to sacrifice", - added the young player. "It wasn't even sacrifice, I just contributed to the team's game."
"Sometimes we didn't need to be at the front, so I retreated. That's exactly what I did."
