The French national team was just a step away from the EURO 2024 final.

On Tuesday, the French team lost to the Spanish team in the semi-final match with a result of 1:2.

This European Championship was not successful for the French leader Kylian Mbappe, who scored only one goal throughout the tournament, which was also from the penalty spot.

After the lost semi-final, Mbappe himself spoke about the poor performance in the tournament.

"In football, you are either good or you are not. In this European Championship, I was not good. This tournament was unsuccessful for me.

"I really wanted to become a European champion. Now I have a short break ahead of me and then the start of a new phase of my career," Mbappe said after the semi-final.
