The Madrid "Atletico" club will have a footballer from England in their team after a long break.
Reliable sources claim that "Atletico" has reached an agreement with London's "Tottenham" for the acquisition of Kieran Trippier. The 28-year-old right-back will cost around 30 million euros.
"Marca" adds that the Englishman will undergo a medical examination on either Wednesday or Thursday, and then he will join the "Atletico" training camp in Los Angeles.
K. Trippier has been the main right-back at "Tottenham" for the past few seasons, but during the last season, there were rumors that both sides wanted changes.
The "Atletico" team has been looking for a player for this position for some time now, as Juanfran left the team in the summer.
After K. Trippier, the "Atletico" team will also be joined by Mario Hermoso. The "Rojiblancos" are also looking to acquire James Rodriguez.
