K. Upstas stays at Kaunas district 'Hegelmann' club for another year

Klaudijus Upstas has extended his contract with the blue-whites and will defend the colors of Kaunas district FC "Hegelmann” for the seventh season.

"The job is not yet finished,” said K. Upstas while signing the contract extension with the club.

The defender of the Lithuanian national team, who celebrated his thirtieth birthday this year, remains loyal to his team and will begin preparations for the new season with his teammates at the beginning of next month.

In the previous season, K. Upstas played 37 matches, scored three goals, and provided four assists.

This year, Klaudijus achieved a historic result with the "Hegelmann” team—becoming the vice-champions of the "TOPsport A league,” reaching the final of the FPRO LFF Cup, and next year, the captain will once again lead the team into the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying battles.

The blue-whites will start their preparations for the new season on January 6.
