"Manchester City" announced on Wednesday that the country's defender Kyle Walker has extended his contract with the club until 2024.
The 29-year-old Englishman's old contract was two years shorter - until 2022.
"It was a very easy decision. I want to fight for trophies and play at the highest level. I also feel that during my time in the "City" ranks, I have improved greatly as a footballer.
The club's vision both on and off the pitch aligns perfectly with mine and I am ready to spend at least another five years here. I hope that we will win even more trophies with the team," said K. Walker after extending his contract.
The England national team member joined the "City" in the summer of 2017, when he arrived from "Tottenham" for about 53 million pounds sterling and was the most expensive defender in the world for a while.
Last season, K. Walker played 52 matches and scored 2 goals for "City".
