22-year-old defender Kurt Zouma has signed a new six-year contract with London's Chelsea and went to "Stoke City" on a season-long loan to improve. K. Zouma arrived at Chelsea in 2014. In his first season, the Frenchman played minimally, but in the second season, the defender demonstrated excellent play and seemed to be able to become a strong starter, but a serious knee injury disrupted the footballer's future plans. Last season K. Zouma occasionally appeared in the starting XI of the team led by Antonio Conte, so this summer it was decided to send the promising defender on a season-long loan to the mid-table team of the Premier League. Chelsea believes that the defender can still contribute a lot to the club, so before sending him to Stoke City, they reached an agreement on a new contract, which will be valid until 2023. Last season, K. Zouma played in nine Premier League matches.
