The last place team of the German Bundesliga, yesterday appointed Wolfgang Wolf as their new head coach. The former coach of the team, Michael Henke, was fired last Saturday after a painful 3-1 loss to the opponent.
Coach W. Wolf, who was fired from the Nuremberg team last month, signed a contract with the new club until 2008, regardless of whether the team stays in the top league this year or not.
"We are very happy that we were able to quickly sign a contract with the coach we have wanted for a long time," said club manager Olaf Marschallas.
The 48-year-old W. Wolf played 248 matches for the Kaiserslautern club during his 10-year professional athlete career.
