Brazilian national team defender Kaka has extended his contract with the Italian champion for another year. Now the player's contract will be valid until 2009.
22-year-old Kaka arrived in Italy last summer from the "Sao Paulo" club, and "Milan" paid 8.5 million euros for him. The money paid quickly paid off, as the Brazilian immediately adapted to the team and constantly demonstrated fantastic gameplay while helping "Milan" win the "Serie A".
However, at the beginning of this season, Kaka hasn't been performing as well, but he is happy to have agreed to stay in Milan for at least another five years and hopes to soon regain good form: "I'm happy to extend the contract because this club is not only strong but also serious. My lack of goals? For now, I'm not overly concerned about it. After all, last season I opened my account in the derby."
The young Brazilian's teammate in the "Milan" team, forward John Dahl Tomasson, has also committed to stay until 2009, and other Italian clubs are not far behind - "Lazio" forward extended his contract until 2009, while "Parma" players Sebastian Frey and Jorge Bolano until 2007.
