Kaka on the career stage in Madrid: "I had two problems - injuries and Mourinho"

Legendary Brazilian footballer Kaka remembered his career stage at the Madrid "Real" team. As the player himself stated, two essential factors hindered him from becoming an important player for this team.

In 2009, Kaka became part of the second era of Florentino Perez's "galactic" purchases - he was acquired from "Milan" for 75 million euros. Despite Kaka achieving decent results, he did not contribute to the team's most significant victories.

Over four years, the Brazilian played a total of 120 matches and scored 29 goals. According to Kaka, constant injuries and an unsuitable coach prevented him from fully realizing himself in this team.

"I was convinced that the move to 'Real' was a good step in my career. I have always been determined and did not think that there were limits in my career", - said Kaka to the Brazilian media.

"My problem in Madrid was that I could not play consistently and I had a coach like Mourinho. For three years, I tried to convince him that I deserved more opportunities, but it was his choice, and I could not control these things.

In the first year, I had problems with my thigh muscles, later problems with the abductor muscles started, and then I had to lie on the operating table.

I fell out of the ranks for three months, and when I returned, Mourinho was already in the team. I really remained a true professional throughout the year. To this day, I can proudly say that I can return to the club because I will always find the doors open there.

Florentino personally told me that I was one of the most professional players he had encountered in the club", - shared Kaka his impressions.

In 2013, when Carlo Ancelotti joined the team, it was expected that Kaka would stay for one more season, but as the Brazilian added, he decided to return to "Milan" because he wanted to receive more playing time for the opportunity to play in the World Cup.
