Kaka is proud that during his career peak he was more powerful than current “Real“ Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo and “Barcelona“ leader Lionel Messi.
The former Brazilian national team defender in 2007 represented “Milan“ in the fight for the best world footballer award and surpassed that duo.
“I have won the Ballon d‘Or and the best world footballer of the year award by beating both Ronaldo and Messi“, - Kaka told Daily Mail.
“Now they win it every year, but in the past I could beat them. It is important to me because I competed against the strongest opponents. Looking back, I am proud of myself.“
The 32-year-old player wore the Real Madrid jersey with Cristiano Ronaldo from 2009 to 2013 and believes that during that time they helped each other improve.
“I really think we contributed to each other's progress. It was great to be his teammate. I learned a lot from him, watching him train and play every day. It helped me a lot.“
Kaka also mentioned that he maintains warm relations with Ronaldo and still, rejoicing in the Portuguese's success in the 2014 Ballon d‘Or elections, he called him a special player. In addition, the Brazilian, despite mostly warming the bench under him, praised former “king“ club coach Jose Mourinho.
The defender recently joined MLS team “Orlando City“ and said he does not want to return to Europe.
