However, a representative of the Qatar organizing committee, Nasseras Al Khateras, quickly denied these rumors and assures that his country will indeed host the biggest football event in the world.
A member of the FIFA committee, Theo Zwanziger, mentioned that the World Cup in Qatar might not take place due to the extremely hot weather conditions.
Qatar's representative, Nasseras Al Khateras, stated that these comments are unfounded: "The World Cup in Qatar will take place, despite Theo Zwanziger's personal opinion. This is not the position of FIFA. The only question is when, not if it will happen. Whether it's in summer or winter, we will be ready."
There have been allegations of corruption regarding Qatar's hosting of the World Cup. According to them, Qatar simply bought the right to host the tournament.
