World Cup host Qatar's team continues to struggle to earn their first points.
On Friday, in a Group A match at the Al Thumama stadium, the eleven from the Middle East country lost 1-3 to the Senegal team.
Both teams cautiously started the game, but in the middle of the first half, the Africans tried to score the first goal.
However, F. Diedhiou and I. Gano's shots did not find the target. Soon after, Qatar's goalkeeper M. Bershamas made a mistake, but the score remained unchanged.
Finally, in the 41st minute, Senegal's B. Dia managed to score - 1:0.
In the 48th minute, the score was doubled - F. Diedhiou scored accurately after a corner kick (2:0).
In the 78th minute, Qatar, playing more actively, scored their first goal in World Cup history - M. Muntari gave the hosts a chance to at least extend the score (2:1). However, a few minutes later, Ch. Dieng scored Senegal's third goal and decisively determined the fate of the match - 3:1.
