The LFF Cup tournament on Sunday ended with two matches in the round of 16. There was virtually no intrigue in the final matches - "Ekranas" and "Kaunas", who had crushed their opponents in the first matches, secured victories in the return matches and confidently advanced to the quarterfinals. The country's champion, Panevezys "Ekranas", defeated Pakruojis "Kruoja" from the lower league 7-0 in the first match, and won with a more modest two-goal margin in the return match at the opponents' field. Defender Gediminas Paulauskas scored the first goal in the third minute of the match, while Vitalijus Kavaliauskas scored the second goal at the end of the first half. In Palanga, with little hope after a 3-0 loss in the first match, "Siauliai" faced the "Kaunas" team and once again experienced defeat. Kaunas players scored three quick goals within 11 minutes of the second half, with Ilgiz Fattakhovas, Gvidas Juška, and Andrius Velička finding the net, while Gediminas Butavičius scored a consolation goal for "Siauliai" in the 68th minute. Therefore, all eight teams of the "A League" made it to the quarterfinals of the LFF Cup - only the aforementioned "Siauliai" and "Silute" had to withdraw from the tournament, as they were paired with other top league teams. The draw for the quarterfinals will take place tomorrow, March 27, at 13:00 at the Kaunas Football Manege. Sunday's Results Pakruojis City Stadium, 200 spectators. Referee - Saulius Atmanavicius.
