The vice-champion of Lithuania FBK has signed a one-year contract with 26-year-old striker Valdas Trakys, who has recently participated in the team's trials and successfully passed them, officially joining the Kaunas team, as reported by the official "A Lyga" website.
Last season, the former player of the Lithuanian youth national team started at Klaipėda's "Atlantas", but did not sign a long-term contract with the club, so at the end of July he left the team and moved to the Eagle "Orio" team, competing in the first league of Russia.
For V. Trakys, a promising striker who started his career at Vilnius "Panerys", this is a return to "Kaunas" - the player competed in this team for three seasons from 1997 to 2000 and once became the country's champion with it.
Later, the young player went abroad, but his career progress was halted by a serious injury. The Lithuanian, who has tasted the life of a legionnaire in several clubs, has represented Moscow's "Torpedo" (Russia), Khimki's "Khimki" (Russia), "Hafnarfjordur" (Iceland), Fürth's "Greuther" (Germany), "VFL Osnabruck" (Germany), and Krasnodar's "Kuban" (Russia) teams.
