The third round of the "TOPsport A Lyga" started in the Temporary Capital, where "Kauno Žalgiris" clashed with the Vilnius District team "TransINVEST". After equalizing the goal deficit, the residents of Kaunas fought for victory - defeating Giedrius Barevičius's team with a score of 2:1 (0:1).
The first danger in the match arose in the 30th minute, when Gabrielis Nikonovas found himself in a dangerous situation and was close to scoring, but both of his shots were blocked by the Žalgiris defenders. The pressure from the visiting team paid off - they managed to take possession of the ball, and Deividas Mikelionis had to deflect a shot by Aleksandras Levšinas.
As the first half was coming to an end, Henrique Devensas deceived the goalkeeper with tricky moves, however, the shot went towards Matias Rale, who was near the goal, and after a few attempts Otar Kobachidze made a shot over the goal.
In the 51st minute of the match, the Vilnius District team took the lead - a fantastic shot from O. Kobachidze from outside the penalty area turned into a goal.
After playing for just under an hour, Filipas Dangubičius made a pass to M. Rale, who had his own opportunity, but the angle of the shot was a bit too sharp.
In the 73rd minute, a goal fell into S. Moschino's defended goal - after a great long pass from David Onana, Artūras Dolžnikovas sent the ball into the net from the penalty area. Just a few minutes later, the residents of Kaunas turned the game around - A. Dolžnikovas set up Armandas Kučys in front of the goal, and the substitute player did not make a mistake and beat D. Mikelionis.
"Kauno Žalgiris" secured their first victory of the season and have collected 4 points, while the league newcomers have one point less in their account.
