TOPsport A lygos' 8th round ended in the Temporary capital - there "Kauno Žalgiris" won their second consecutive victory 1:0 (0:0) defeating Alytus DFK "Dainava."
In the first half, the Kaunas team was more active, but they failed to score. Filipas Dangubičius had a couple of very good chances - but the Croatian's attempts did not find the target.
The winning goal was scored by the hosts in the 71st minute. Gratas Sirgėdas lifted a corner, Jason Noslinas headed the ball towards Maxime's Spano Rahou and the center-back did not miss from close range with a shot.
"Kauno Žalgiris" confidently held onto the winning result and moved from the bottom position to the middle of the table after two games.
The Kaunas team is in fifth place with 10 points, after thirteen unbeaten games in a row Alytaus team with 12 points is in fourth place.
