In the second round of the "TOPsport A League," the teams "Kauno Žalgiris" and Telšiai's "Džiugas" faced off. The Kaunas team scored an early goal but could not maintain the lead and suffered a defeat with a score of 1:2 (1:0).

Not waiting long, the Kaunas players actively started the match and quickly opened the scoring – the "Džiugas" defenders lost the ball near their penalty area, and after a pass from Romualdas Jansons, Amine Benchaiba scored for the second match in a row.

In the 17th minute, Telšiai's player Karolis Šilakaitis posed the first threat to the goal guarded by Deividas Mikelionis, but the goalkeeper caught the ball. A few minutes later, Vilius Piliukaitis received a dangerous cross from the flank, but the defender was unable to reach the ball.

In the second half of the first half, the attacking players of Žalgiris created a great attack, but Damjanas Pavlovičius, receiving the ball in a good position, missed the target. A little later, D. Pavlovičius made a run towards the penalty area, but the ball whistled just past the post.

In the second half, there was a lot of hard fighting, but the first real threat only arose in the 72nd minute when Dejanas Georgevičius's shot hit the crossbar.

A few moments later, Telšiai player Oleksandras Kurcevas, who appeared on the field as a substitute, made a run into the penalty area and sent the ball into the far corner of the net, leveling the score.

This was not the end of the Ukrainian's contribution – in the very last moments of the match, the Telšiai players intercepted the ball in the midfield and launched a counterattack, with O. Kurcevas adding another goal and gifting the team a victory.

With this victory, the "Džiugas" players earned their first three points, leveling with the "Kauno Žalgiris" team.
