On Wednesday evening, "Kauno Žalgiris" began their battles in the UEFA Futsal Champions League, and the first match of the main stage against the Austrian team "FC Diamant Linz" ended with a victory for Žalgiris with a score of 5:0.

The first goal of "Kauno Žalgiris" did not take long to come. Already in the 2nd minute of the match, the Brazilian Wepe, dressed in green and white, scored a precise shot into the Austrian net, and in the middle of the first half, he netted the team's second goal.

At the end of the first half, veteran Albertas Voskunovičius sent the ball into the empty "FC Diamant Linz" goal, and the first half ended with a score of 3:0.

At the beginning of the second half, Luko Sendžikas' shot into the opponents' goal further extended "Kauno Žalgiris"'s lead. With 3 minutes remaining, the green and whites were also on the scoreboard thanks to Alan Jefferson.
