Madrid's "Real" forward Karim Benzema stated that one of his main desires is to finally win the award for the best football player in the world.
In the "Golden Ball" rankings, there are currently two untouchable names - Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Nevertheless, C.Ronaldo's teammate from France hopes that his day of glory will come too.
"Winning the 'Ballon d'Or' award is one of my main goals," Benzema said in an interview with "BeIn Sports" journalists.
"I'm not going to lie about it. This award is always on my mind, and every football player dreams of winning the 'Golden Ball'.
"What should I do to win this award? I think winning many titles and scoring 80 goals in a year!" - the 27-year-old footballer talked about the difficult task.
This season, K.Benzema is the second most productive player within the "Real" team. He scored 19 goals in 38 games played.
