Madrid's "Real" striker Karim Benzema admitted that he never considered the possibility of joining London's "Arsenal" and emphasized that these rumors made him and his associates laugh.
The 27-year-old footballer has been linked with a move to "Arsenal" for several years, but the Frenchman currently sees no reason to leave the royal club.
When asked if he was close to moving to the "gunners" team this summer, K. Benzema replied: "It was never the case. Every summer, my brother and friends joke about these rumors and, of course, wait for them to end."
"In my opinion, "Real" and "Barcelona" are at the top of football, so I don't see a reason to leave. I am a starter for the best club in the world. I am happy about that, so it's easy to decide about my future," - concluded the striker.
Currently recovering from injury, K. Benzema has already played eight matches this season wearing the "white" jersey and scored seven goals.
