Munich's "Bayern" chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge praised the team's goalkeeper Manuel Neuer and hoped that the veteran would agree to sign a new long-term contract with the team.
The current contract with the 33-year-old German will expire in 18 months.
"There shouldn't be any additional discussions about his abilities on the field, but understand that negotiations need to be carried out between both parties," said Rummenigge, talking about the best goalkeepers of all time.
"I have great respect for Sepp Maier and Oliver Kahn - they were world-class players.
However, Manuel did something different - he raised the goalkeeper's game to a whole new level, and Neuer is the best goalkeeper of all time in the world," clarified the German.
