King's Cup: "Sevilla" Celebrates Victory, "Valencia" Settles for a Draw (VIDEO)

On Thursday, the quarter-final matches of the King's Cup ("Copa del Rey") were played in Spain.

The first match took place at the "Mestalla" stadium, where "Valencia" clashed with "Las Palmas". The "Canaries" failed to prove their superiority in the first encounter.

The guests broke through in the 38th minute when Wilfried Zahibo scored an own goal. In the 61st minute, Paco Alcacer managed to equalize the score, but they couldn't secure the victory.

In the other matches, "Sevilla" played at home against the players of "Mirandes". Goals from Steven N'Zonzi in the 20th minute and Vitolo at the end of the match allowed Unai Emery's team to celebrate a 2-0 victory.

The response matches for both pairs will be played on January 27.
