BK security was introduced in the UEFA list as a footballer playing in Lithuania, from whom the most could be expected in 2007.

This year, the 21-year-old defender, who failed to establish himself in the Lithuanian Edinburgh, is again preparing for the season with "FBK Kaunas".

"Talented and versatile defender Ivashkevicius helped "Kaunas" regain the champion title by playing as an attacking or right-back defender," reads the short description provided on the UEFA website. "The 21-year-old footballer is very dangerous in set-piece situations and is characterized by a strong and accurate long shot."

"He confirmed this by scoring seven goals in 21 matches," the description announces, adding that in August the defender was loaned out to "Hearts".

At the end of August, together with "FBK Kaunas" forward Andrius Velička, the defender moved to Edinburgh under a one-year lease agreement and made his debut for "Hearts" at the end of September, when he entered the starting lineup of the injury-hit team in the Scottish Cup match against "Alloa Athletic".

However, as it turned out later, those were the only games played by K. Ivashkevicius wearing "Hearts" jerseys - due to an injury and tough competition, the Lithuanian barely made it to the substitutes' bench twice.
